Massive incentives from IESO & Enbridge 2026
IESO announced a massive incentive program beginning in 2026 aimed at reducing your electricity expenses. The IESO XLerate program operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Enbridge Gas’s current Commercial Custom Retrofit Program, which includes the enhanced institutional incentive for controls and VFD projects of up to $1.20 per m³ of natural gas saved (subject to program eligibility, project milestones, and funding caps). These incentives will cover nearly half of the ventilation air leakage projects delivered by Nerva Energy. When combined with Year 1 energy savings, you can recover up to 60% of the initial investment for your ventilation project specifically for Campuses with Central Plants.
Addressing Ventilation air leakage can reduce annual energy costs 8-15%. With these incentives, investing in ventilation air leakage has become one of the most effective strategies for reducing operating costs.
